Fes-born architect and urban planner Sarah Essbai has always been fascinated by the structure of the medinas – how these ancient spaces extend into both the past and the future of Morocco. She has worked on historic preservation and green building projects, has a special interest in urban sustainability and affordable housing, and is currently based in the Netherlands.
